Kranodath is a bird wyvern that appears in the Oilwell Basin, primarily near Area 7. This enemy is present in both Low Rank and High Rank, but Krano Pyrite only drops from High-Rank hunts. As the game describes it,

To obtain Krano Pyrite, players must defeat a High-Rank Kranodath. The item has a 100% drop rate, making it a reliable resource. Low-Rank Kranodath will drop Krano Copper instead, meaning progression to High Rank is necessary to collect Krano Pyrite.

- Hunt High-Rank Kranodath: The item does not drop from Low-Rank versions of the monster.
