Monster Hunter Wilds Lagiacrus Debut All But Confirmed

The debut of sea wyvern Lagiacrus in Monster Hunter Wilds has been confirmed, and it is going to appear during the game’s Title Update 2.

Even before the initial release of Monster Hunter Wilds, the community was abuzz with rumors of the fan-favorite Lagiacrus. Unfortunately, the monster did not appear in the base game, much to the dismay of all players. In light of recent information, Lagiacrus might not be a shallow myth in Wilds. The developers teased this monster in their latest showcase and even provided a tentative timeline for its release.

The Monster Hunter Wilds March 2025 Showcase not only revealed new information about Mizutsune and other additions, but it also gave us some interesting additional information. The familiar sound and claws of Lagiacrus were visible, and it might appear sooner than expected. Lagiacrus Debut in Monster Hunter Wilds Might be as Early as Summer 2025

The most recent Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase has reignited the excitement amongst the fanbase. While the sea wyvern Lagiacrus wasn’t explicitly shown, the very short audio and visual was enough to rile up fans. Lagiacrus has been a fan-favorite, and ardent fans will make no mistake in recognizing it.

The familiar water bubbles and gurgles, with the shrill shriek, and the unmistakable color of its paws and claws – it could not have been clearer. Any hunter who has taken this on in previous iterations would instantly recognize it. In essence, Capcom confirmed that Lagiacrus will in fact be debuting in Monster Hunter Wilds, and within a few months as well.

Capcom took this opportunity to announce the “planned” release date for their Title Update 2, which would feature with this unknown monster. Lagiacrus will debut in Monster Hunter Wilds with the Title Update 2, which is supposed to arrive in Summer 2025. While we do not know if underwater fights with Lagiacrus will return, its confirmation is a cause for revelry.
