The Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta is scheduled to take place in two phases. If you have a PlayStation Plus membership, you will be able to access it from October 28, 2024m at 8:00 PM PT till October 30, 2024, at 7:59 PM PT exclusively.
If you are playing on Steam, or Xbox, or do not have a PlayStation+ subscription, you can take part in Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta on the following dates:
- October 31, 2024, at 8:00 PM PT to November 3, 2024, at 6:59 PM PT

The open beta for Monster Hunter Wilds will feature some star attractions which include:
1) Character Creation
You will get access to the complete character creation tool in the open beta phase. More importantly, this can be transferred to the main game when you play it. As such, you can expend a significant amount of time to perfect your character during the open beta phase.
2) Story Trial
You can also experience the opening cutscene and play all the introductory tutorials. You will also be able to take part in the first hunt. It is currently unknown whether the progress from here will be transferred to the main game.
3) Doshaguma Hunt
You will also be able to take part in the first boss-beast hunt in the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta. You can team up with other players to complete this. Since Capcom is allowing crossplay in the open beta phase, you will likely be able to team up with players on other consoles as well.
Rewards For Taking Part in Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta
Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta players will get the Stuffed Felyne Teddy Pendant as a reward for taking part in this phase. This will likely be an exclusive item later on in the game since newcomers will not be able to get this item.
