MSI showcased a bunch of new monitors at the Computex 2025 event, including some QD-OLED models that were quite exciting. It’s good to see more manufacturers adopt OLED technology. The prices of OLED models can only come down through mass adoption. However, the most attention-grabbing monitor was the one with a 600 Hz refresh rate.

In this article, we will analyze the new 600 Hz monitor to see exactly what it can offer and go through all the other monitors that MSI launched. Read on to learn more.

Introducing MPG 242R X60N: A 600 Hz Refresh Rate Monitor

MSI’s 600Hz monitor is named MPG 242R X60N, which is specifically designed to cater to the needs and requirements of most professional esports players. These players have very high eye-tracking capabilities and can notice even the slightest movement on the screen, and only they could benefit from such a high refresh rate monitor. Sadly, the usual gamers may not be able to see the differences provided by such a monitor.

MSI achieved a 600 Hz refresh rate using a Rapid TN Panel. Unfortunately, OLED technology has yet to reach such an astounding level of refresh rate. Even IPS technology has not achieved 600 Hz yet. Therefore, manufacturers have no option but to turn to TN panels for this. However, it’s the best kind of TN monitor and includes features like KVM for multi-PC support.

The display measures 24 inches at 1080p resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio that some Counter-Strike 2 professionals seem to love. Also, the response time is only 0.1ms GtG due to the staggeringly high 600 Hz refresh rate.

MSI Also Displayed Rapid IPS and QD-OLED Monitors

MSI has also released a bunch of QD-OLED and IPS monitors. The company’s new MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 and MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50 are two of the best QD-OLED monitors, with a refresh rate reaching 500 Hz at a QHD resolution on a 26.5-inch screen. Both models are VESA certified for DisplayHDR True Black 500 and ClearMR 21000, which are only given to the most flagship-level monitors.

Therefore, if you are thinking of buying a new QHD monitor, the new MSI monitors should definitely be on your bucket list. MSI also had some 4K QD-OLED models on display at Computex 2025. The MPG 272URX QD-OLED, for example, brings a 27-inch display at 4K resolution and up to 240 Hz refresh rate. There’s also a 31.6-inch screen variant, which has a 280 Hz refresh rate. MSI also displayed some affordable QD-OLED models, which had some features stripped to achieve a lower price.

In the real mid-range category, MSI announced some IPS monitors that defined our expectations. Most of them had a dual-mode configuration, which allows them to switch between UHD@160Hz and FHD@320Hz. When you need pure visual clarity, you can switch to UHD@160Hz, which will deliver the most impressive visual fidelity. However, you can switch to FHD@320Hz before going into a CS2 match. These monitors also offer Nvidia G-Sync for a tear-free gameplay experience.

MSI also has some more models on display at Computex, which we will learn more about when they actually start coming to store shelves for sale.
