NBA 2K26’s performance on PC leaves a lot to be desired. The game has optimization issues that require tuning, such as those we have addressed over here. The RTX 30 series, the higher-end models, are still plenty capable. Below are the settings that you should consider for your Ampere GPU.

Note: My Park zone is very intensive and it tanks the frame rate. These settings are intentionally kept low so that hitting 60 FPS is no problem.

As per our research, the game occupies 5GB of VRAM on low-medium settings at 1080p, making 6GB laptop GPUs relevant for playing this game. With this level of performance, gamers should target 1080p resolution.

The 3060 has more VRAM, but it won’t be able to handle higher settings than we have mentioned here. Gamers with the 3070 and 3070 Ti, depending on frame rate and visual clarity, may adjust their settings accordingly. Going for the 1440p is also an option with the 3070 and 3070 Ti’s. Ensure you monitor your VRAM usage via the Steam Overlay or RTSS; running out of it will result in severe stuttering.

With this level of GPU performance, you can safely dial in 1440p with these settings and play. On 10-12GB cards, such as both iterations of the 3080, alongside the RTX 3080 Ti, ensure that the VRAM usage stays below 12GB. On cards like the 3090 and 3090 Ti, VRAM isn’t a problem at all.
