What Is Hypercharge in Ninja Gaiden Ragebound?

Hypercharge in Ninja Gaiden Ragebound is a super attack that deals a ton of damage and can kill most enemies in one hit. Think of it as a finisher from other action games. Now you may wonder, what use is a one-hit kill attack when most enemies die in one hit? You shouldn’t use Hypercharge against basic enemies.

Hypercharge is best used against larger enemies and bosses. Larger enemies are the ones that require three to four hits to kill. Hypercharge allows you to bypass that and kill them in one go. Hypercharge does not kill bosses in one hit but takes away a large chunk of their HP. A perfectly timed Hypercharge may be the final move you need to beat the boss you’re struggling against.

You use Hypercharge by simply pressing the attack button when in a hypercharged state. You enter this charged state in two ways:

  • Kill flashing enemies with the orb icon above their heads. Killing these enemies instantly sends you into the Hypercharged state, making your next attack a Hypercharge attack.
  • The other way to Hypercharge is to sacrifice a chunk of your health. By holding the attack button, you can sacrifice your health to instantly enter the powerful state. We only recommend doing this in worst-case scenarios.
