Rummage Piles have existed for some time in Palia. However, with the launch of the free Elderwood expansion for the game earlier this month, what you find inside these Rummage Piles has changed.

If you’re new in the game and have no idea what Rummage Piles in Palia are, this guide will help you understand. In short, they are random loot piles that spawn in different parts of the map every day. In the following guide, we’ll explore how you can discover these piles easily.

Rummage Piles are random piles of sticks or shipwrecks that you find while exploring the world of Palia. In the Bahari Bay and Kilima regions of the map, you will get materials, furniture recipes, and even some quest items when interacting with these piles. However, when you’re in the Elderwood zone, interacting with Rummage Piles will give you artifacts.

You can exchange any artifacts you find at Elouisa’s shop to earn Elouisa’s Fun Bucks. This is a form of in-game currency that you can spend only at her shop. She will give you relic recipes in exchange for them.

You can find Rummage Piles in different places each day, so there aren’t specific spots you can visit to get the loot from them. The following tables indicate where the piles are most likely to spawn depending on the zone.

Zone NameLocation of Rummage Pile Spawn
Bahari BayCoral Shores and Beachcomber Cove
Kilima ValleyLeafhopper Hills and Mirror Pond Ruins
ElderwoodMitana Grove and Deep Woods

In Kilima Valley and Bahari Bay, the Rummage Piles spawn once every day. However, in Elderwood, the piles will spawn twice each day. Also, you’ll need a Fine Hoe tool to dig up the Rummage Piles in the Elderwood zone. If that seems tricky, you can make things easier for yourself by buying the Artifact Tracker from Elouisa’s store.

You will need to spend 1x Elouisa’s Fun Bucks to get this item. With this tool in your possession, a small pile icon will appear on the compass every time you are nearing a Rummage Pile.
