Survival is the name of the game in PEAK, and you have to be at the top of your game if you wish to survive the game’s harsh yet beautiful environments. You have to scavenge for food, which is a hard enough task already, and then you have to cook the food. The whole process is hectic, doubly so when you’re on the brink of starvation.

But what if you could skip part of this process? What if you could simply find food that was cooked in the first place? That’s where PEAK’s Cooked Bird comes into play. The Cooked Bird, as its name may suggest, is a bird that is already cooked. Don’t ask us how that makes sense, but that’s an item in the game. Even if this is the first time you’re hearing about the bird, you’ve already seen it. Whenever you’re on the brink of starvation, you start hallucinating your teammates as Cooked Birds.

The Cooked Bird is one of the best food items in PEAK, but finding it can be a fair bit complicated. But thankfully, that’s exactly what our guide is here to help you with.

How To Find Cooked Bird in PEAK

Search for eggs in the lava areas (Image via Landfall)

You find the Cooked Bird inside some eggs in the lava zone region of the map. The eggs seemingly drop items at random, so you’ll have to find a bunch of eggs before you can hatch one for the Cooked Bird. You may also go an entire run without finding one, but don’t lose hope, as the whole thing is reliant on RNG.

Once you’ve found the Cooked Bird, eating it requires absolutely no effort. There’s no cooking needed, and you can get to the eating part right away. The item is also perfect if you’re seeking the Naturalist Badge, which requires you to complete a run without packaged foods.
