Golf fans, it’s time to grab your clubs and hit the virtual greens. PGA Tour 2K25 just dropped a free demo on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). This is the first-ever demo in the PGA Tour 2K series. It’s a chance to test the game early and carry over your progress into the full version.

The trial offers character customization, training, quests, and local match play. You can create up to three MyPlayers, level them up, and play on the back nine of TPC Scottsdale. Training mode is fully unlocked, helping players sharpen their skills before launch.

The best part? Progress carries over when the full game launches on February 28. If you pre-order the Deluxe or Legend Edition, early access starts February 21.

PGA Tour 2K25 Free Demo

The PGA Tour 2K25 First Look demo is now live on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It offers a preview of the game’s features before the official launch on February 28. For players purchasing the Deluxe Edition ($99.99) or Legend Edition ($119.99), early access starts on February 21.

Unlike previous entries, this free demo allows progress to carry over to the full game. That means any MyPlayer golfers created and upgraded will remain available, provided you continue on the same platform. The demo lets players experiment with three MyPlayer builds, each starting at an overall rating of 65 and capping at 70. In the full game, this restriction will be lifted, allowing for further progression.

The demo includes four key gameplay features:

  • MyPlayer Customization – Players can create, tweak, and refine their golfer’s appearance, including body type, hairstyle, and clothing.

  • Local Match Play – The demo features the back nine at TPC Scottsdale, including the famous par-3 16th hole. However, online play is not available.

  • Training Mode – Every lesson and training drill from the full game is unlocked, making this a great opportunity to improve skills.

  • Quests – The game includes a structured quest system that guides players through different challenges, offering a targeted learning experience.

While the demo provides a solid introduction, it does have some limitations. Only one course is playable, compared to the full game’s expansive lineup, which includes TPC Sawgrass, Oakmont, and The Old Course at St. Andrews. The design mode, where players can build custom courses, is also missing from the trial.

Still, the PGA Tour 2K25 demo is a great way to test the game early, refine your skills, and get a head start before launch. With progress carrying over, there’s no reason to wait. Now’s the time to hit the fairway and start playing.
