Twitch streamer Jason “Thor” Hall, popularly known as Pirate Software, has been accused of cheating in Animal Well. YouTuber AlbinoLIVE called out Pirate for cheating in the game by finding the game’s secret ending online.

When Animal Well was released on May 9, 2024, the player base spent weeks trying to find all the endings. Pirate Software seemingly discovered the secret ending in his first playthrough, which surprised his audience.

YouTuber AlbinoLIVE analyzed part of Pirate’s gameplay footage for almost two hours in a YouTube stream on January 18, 2025. After looking at the gameplay, he accused Pirate of cheating by using the internet or his audience for help.

YouTuber AlbinoLIVE Accuses Pirate Software of Cheating

After watching Pirate’s gameplay for over an hour, AlbinoLIVE concluded that the Twitch streamer was cheating. He said at the 1:04:34 mark on his stream:

“He couldn’t take the blame for the World of Warcraft thing. He sure as f*ck isn’t gonna admit he faked his playthrough.”

After reading his chat’s comments about Pirate Software’s recent Outer Wilds controversy, Albino continued:

“Outer Wilds was nearly obvious because he was looking at his phone. It was so obvious that I thought, surely he wouldn’t do that, right? But in this game, it’s clearly obvious because he’s trying to have the world believe that he blindly solves every ending, even the secret developer fourth wall-breaking ending that was solved by the community after like weeks?”

Pirate’s Outer Wilds and World of Warcraft Controversies

Pirate Software faced multiple recent controversies and received criticism from several streamers. On January 14, 2025, the streamer-only World of Warcraft guild OnlyFangs removed him. Twitch streamer Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris, who owns the guild, said that Pirate made other streamers “uncomfortable.”

Pirate stopped playing World of Warcraft and moved to variety games after the ban. In recent livestreams, viewers accused him of checking his phone to solve puzzles while playing Outer Wilds.

Steven “Destiny” Bonnell saw Pirate’s stream and said:

“There’s no way that he would be so blatant about it though, right? He is clearly looking at his phone right now. There’s no way he would just go right now and instantly solve it. Like, he would at least fake trying to figure it out for a minute or two, right?”

AlbinoLIVE looked at Pirate’s Outer Wilds footage and said that it is possible the Twitch streamer wasn’t cheating. He also said that it is okay to look for solutions since people don’t want to watch streamers get stuck on puzzles for hours. Pirate Software has not responded to Destiny or AlbinoLIVE’s comments so far.
