How To Get Shadow Regirock in Pokemon GO

Shadow Regirock will be available through Shadow Raids, which are strictly local events. You cannot use Remote Raid Passes for these battles. Only in-person Raid Passes will let you participate.

During Partly Cloudy weather, the CP range moves up to 2050–2230. Be cautious, though. Partly Cloudy weather strengthens Regirock, making the battle tougher.

Shadow Regirock fits into your team as a tanky damage dealer. It works well if you need a Rock-type with more offensive pressure. Keep in mind that the base defense remains higher than most other Rock-types.

How To Defeat Shadow Regirock in Pokemon GO

Preparation is your key to success. Focus on using Pokemon with Fighting, Grass, Ground, Steel, or Water moves. These types exploit Regirock’s weaknesses and shorten the battle duration.

Avoid attempting this raid during Partly Cloudy weather. That particular weather boosts Regirock’s Rock-type moves and increases its CP, making the fight even tougher.

A minimum group of four well-prepared trainers is suggested for a smooth experience. Using Purified Gems during the battle is critical. These items help weaken the Shadow Raid boss’s enraged state, making it easier to land attacks and survive longer.

Building a team with powered-up counters is necessary. Pokemon like Metagross with Steel moves, Swampert with Water moves, and Lucario with Fighting moves can be excellent choices. Make sure your counters are at high levels and have good move sets suited for this specific fight.

Can Shadow Regirock Be Shiny in Pokemon GO?

Yes, there is a chance to encounter a Shiny Shadow Regirock during these raids. However, it is not guaranteed. The chance is rare and depends entirely on luck.

The shiny form will be noticeable once you reach the catch screen after a successful raid. There are no visual hints during the battle itself. You must complete the raid first to discover if it’s a Shiny. Keep your expectations balanced, as Shiny encounters remain special and uncommon.
