Details of Pokemon GO Mega Absol Raid Day
Event Schedule and Duration
Mega Absol Raid Day is happening on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. For three hours, you will find Mega Absol appearing frequently in Mega Raids, giving you multiple chances to battle and catch it.
New Move Update for Absol
Starting with this event and continuing afterward, Absol will gain access to the Charged Attack Brutal Swing. This move deals 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in Gyms and Raids, making Absol a stronger option for certain battle situations.
Event Bonuses to Take Advantage Of
Several bonuses will be active to help maximize your rewards:
- The Remote Raid Pass limit increases to 20 from Saturday, March 22, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, March 23, at 8:00 p.m. PDT.
- Spinning Gym Photo Discs will grant up to five additional free Raid Passes, allowing a total of six free Raid attempts.
- Shiny Absol encounters will be boosted, making it an excellent chance to catch one in its alternate color.
Special Event Ticket for Extra Rewards
For those looking for more perks, a US$5.00 ticket (or equivalent in local currency) provides additional bonuses, effective during the event window.
Ticket holders will receive:
- Eight extra Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, allowing up to 14 Raid Passes in total for the day.
- A higher chance of obtaining Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles.
- 50% more XP from Raid Battles.
- Double Stardust from Raid Battles.
Trainers can also gift tickets to friends with whom they have reached Great Friends level or higher. Keep in mind that tickets are non-refundable and must be purchased before 4:00 p.m. local time on March 23, 2025.
Free Timed Research and Extra Rewards
A free Timed Research quest will be available during the event. Completing the tasks will grant rewards such as:
- 10,000 Stardust.
- 1,000 extra Stardust for completing a Raid Battle (increasing to 2,000 Stardust per Raid, or 3,000 with an event ticket).
- Additional bonuses are yet to be revealed.
Mega Absol Raid Day Ultra Ticket Box
A special Mega Absol Raid Day Ultra Ticket Box will be available for US$4.99 through the Pokemon GO Web Store. This bundle includes the event ticket plus an extra Premium Battle Pass.
