The Pokemon series has always been about “Catching them all,” but this seems easier said than done when Pokemon such as Drampa refuse to pop up anywhere on the map. Drampa is an ever-elusive Pokemon that you find in the mid-to-late game in Pokemon Legends Z-A. Since you find him so late, it may seem like he’s refusing to spawn on the map, but that’s not the case.

There are two places where you can find Drampa in the game. Our guide will take you to both locations and walk you right up to the Pokemon. Then, we’ll discuss the Pokemon’s weakness and recommend a Pokemon to help defeat and capture it.

You can find Drampa in Wild Zone 19, the same place where you find Pokemon such as Kangaskhan, Audino, Cleffa, Clefairy, Eevee, and Furfrou. This Wild Zone is on the top right side of the map, right along the border of the city. You can get to this Wild Zone by fast-traveling to the Pokemon Center near Jaune Sector 8, and then it’s a short walk from there. Drampa is a Day spawn, so make sure it’s daytime when you go to this Wild Zone.

Walk up to the Wild Zone and press A to enter. Then, head over to the center of the park and you’ll find a Level 50 Drampa resting inside a gazebo. The Pokemon simply won’t agree to get inside a Poke Ball, so you have to fight it first. Drampa is incredibly weak to Ice, so we suggest using Froslass to beat it and then using your Poke Ball to capture it.

If you’re feeling a little bit bolder, you can also try to capture the Alpha Drampa in Wild Zone 20. This area is at the very center of the map, and you can use the Pokemon Center nearby to get to it quickly. The Alpha Drampa is at Level 64, so be prepared for one hell of a fight. The Pokemon is weak to Ice, so stick to exploiting its weakness. If you’re on a lower level, we suggest foregoing this location and seeking the Pokemon in Wild Zone 19.
