Help Terra fix a broken Holovator in Pokemon Legends Z-A by battling a wild Diggersby and unlocking rooftop access.
In this side quest, you help Terra fix a Holovator that stopped working in Vert Sector 9. Something underground has caused the machine to jam, and you need to discover it. Once you finish the quest, you can use the Holovator again and reach a new rooftop area with more items to collect. This is Side Quest 23 in the game and becomes available after a specific main story mission.
You can start this quest after finishing Main Mission 10: The Secrets of Mega Evolution. Once you defeat your rival, either Urbain or Taunie, a few new side missions appear, and this is one of them.
Go to Vert Sector 9 in the Vert District. You will find Terra near the Holovator, close to the northwest part of Wild Zone 1. If you want to get there faster, you can use fast travel to the Pokemon Research Lab or Wild Zone 1. Talk to Terra to begin.
Terra will mention that the Holovator has been acting up because something under the ground is disturbing it. Your task is to figure out what is going on and fix the issue.
How To Finish Underneath the Holovator Quest in Pokemon Legends Z-A
To begin this quest, you first need to talk to Terra, who is standing near the Holovator in Vert Sector 9. She explains that the elevator has stopped working because something underground is causing trouble. After you accept the quest, she asks you to check the area and find out what is blocking the Holovator.
Once you agree to help, walk over to the mound of dirt in front of the Holovator. As you inspect it, you will notice movement beneath the ground. This action triggers a battle with a wild Diggersby that pops out of the dirt. It is Level 28 and has both Normal and Ground types.
To handle the battle easily, bring Pokemon that can use Fighting, Water, Grass, or Ice-type moves. Water and Grass moves deal extra damage, so Pokemon with these attacks are ideal. Make sure your team is at least around Level 28 or higher so you can win the fight without much trouble.
After defeating or catching Diggersby, the path becomes clear. You can choose to catch it if you do not have one in your collection, as it evolves from Bunnelby at Level 20 and can be a strong Ground-type addition. Once the battle is done, talk to Terra again. She will thank you for fixing the issue and let you know that the Holovator is now functional.
