Rainbow Six Siege is almost reaching the halfway point of its 10th year, and we finally have a roadmap for what’s to come for the rest of the year. Siege started its 10th year with Operation Prep Phase, which introduced Rauora and made tweaks to matchmaking, among other things.
Now, we’re a few weeks away from Operation Daybreak, the second season of Year 10. This season most notably marks the launch of Siege X, and is coming with a Clash rework and tons of new features. In the showcase detailing Operation Daybreak, Ubisoft also gave us a detailed look at what Year 10 Season 3 and Season 4 have in store for us. Let us discuss these in detail below.

What’s Ahead in Year 10 for Rainbow Six Siege X
Operation Daybreak (Year 10 Season 2)

As stated earlier, we’re only a few weeks away from Year 10 Season 2, Operation Daybreak. This season marks the launch of Siege X and brings in the following major changes and features:
- New 6v6 game mode: Dual Front
- Clash Remaster/Rework
- 5 Modernized Maps
- Visual and audio overhaul, as well as UI changes
- New beginner playlists and veteran rewards
- Esports tab
- Career Statistics Tracker
- Siege Cup Changes
- Operator balance changes

Year 10 Season 3

Season 3 will bring in the following features:
- New Operator (defender): Season 3 is set to bring in a new defender from Switzerland.
- New weapon: The Season 3 operator is also set to bring in fresh new firepower to the game with a brand new weapon.
- Dual Front updates: Dual Front is set to get Neutral Sector updates that expand the lore of the Siege universe. The update is also bringing in new mechanics, the details of which are unknown at the moment.
- 3 Modernized Maps: Consulate, Lair, and Nighthaven Labs will be getting lighting and destruction updates. These changes will bring the maps up to modern standards.
- Siege Cup Changes: The game will incorporate “Inspect Squad” features to study your opponents beforehand. Siege Cup will also be held every weekend.
- Esports tab updates: The devs will continue to tweak the Esports tab to make the competitive scene easier to follow.
- Diversified loadouts: The devs will reissue some of the newer weapons to multiple operators, reshaping the meta in the process.
- Other updates: A Recruit update and plans to explore magnified scopes on defense.
- Halloween event heads to the Clubhouse.
- New Battlepass
- 2 new Seasonal Events.
Year 10 Season 4

Season 4 will bring in the following features:
- A new operator remaster focused on a Pathfinder operator (attacker). The goal of remastering this unnamed operator is to raise its skill ceiling and enable creative strategies.
- New Cross-Operator weapon: Season 4 will bring a new weapon that will be available to multiple operators. The devs expect this to influence the squad lineups.
- 2 Modernized Maps: Theme Park and Skyscraper will be rebuilt with enhanced lighting and new destructible ingredients.
- A Map Rework: Season 4 will see a whole new map rework, intended to introduce a new map to the competitive map pool.
- Enhanced Training Playlists with AI allies and minimaps to improve the newbie experience.
- Improvements to Ranked matchmaking.
- New assignments in Dual Front.
- Revamps to the EMPs, Jamming systems, and hard breachers, among other balancing changes.
- A New Testing Grounds playlist.
- New Battlepass
- 2 new Seasonal Events, including a special 10-year anniversary event.
