REPO just introduced a new mechanic called overcharge. Read on to know what semiwork has introduced and how it could affect the game.

REPO is a simple game; you go to an area, loot valuables, and extract away. It’s just that there are monsters who will kill you on sight. This game is fun to play with friends, and some of the players even found an easy way to deal with monsters. There is a strength upgrade in the Service Station that increases the strength of the semibot. The developer implemented this update so players can lift heavy things easily.
However, some players decide to troll bosses with their strength. Every monster is killable, and the game even has guns to deal with them. But players can also grab a monster and knock it to the ground. To fix this, semiwork introduced the brand new Overcharge mechanic.
If you are not familiar with this new update, don’t worry; this article will explain how the overcharge mechanic works in REPO.
How Does the Overcharge Mechanic Work in REPO?

The overcharge mechanic is going to bind your health and stamina together. It is basically a bar that starts filling when you grab a monster. If the bar fills completely, you will explode. Don’t worry, the explosion is not fatal, but you will lose around 70 HP. This mechanic is introduced to restrain players from manhandling monsters.

The overcharge meter charges faster if the enemy’s size is big. You can still throw Gnomes and Rugrat, but you cannot knock down bigger enemies. One thing that you should know is that the overcharge meter is only affected by monsters. In other words, you can still lift bigger objects without any problems. This way, players will be forced to use tactics and weapons instead of using brute force to deal with problems.

Currently, the developer is refining this mechanic, and hopefully, we will experience it in the next REPO update.
