Master the Grow a Garden Cooking Update with this Recipe guide. Cook the food item Chris P is craving to maximize your rewards!
The Cooking Update is now live in Grow a Garden. It allows players to cook with various crops from their garden to earn rewards, including the brand-new Gourmet Egg and Gourmet Seed Pack. The reward you get depends on the rarity of plants and what type of food you submit to the pig NPC Chris P at the event area in the center of the map.
We have compiled a recipe list of all of the food items you can cook in the Grow a Garden Cooking Update. Make what Chris P wants to get better rewards.
Grow a Garden Cooking Event: Recipe Ingredient List
Grow a Garden added a cooking mechanic with the new update, where players submit various crops in a pot at Chris P’s Kitchen to cook food for the NPC. Submitting the food to the pig NPC nets you rewards. Every hour, Chris P will have a different craving. To get better rewards, submit the food item he is craving that hour. Each food item also has different tiers, depending on the recipe you use. A high-tier food, such as a Prismatic Sandwich, will yield better rewards than the Rare variant.

Grow a Garden: Cooking Reward Drop Chances
After you give the food item to Chris P, he will reward you with a bunch of rewards. You can get a variety of things from the pig NPC, such as the new Gourmet Egg that hatches into the brand new five pets. Or the latest Gourmet Seed Pack, which drops the event-limited plants such as the Taco Fern.

You have to cook a food item with 1x Corn and 1x Strawberry to make Ice Cream in the Cooking Update. Other recipes include 1x Corn and 1x Blueberry, or 1x Corn and 1x Pineapple.

Use a watermelon crop and 2 corn crops to cook a cake in the Grows a Garden Cooking Event.
What Is the Craving Mechanic?
During the Cooking Event, Chris P will give you rewards for submitting food items. Each hour, the NPC will crave a specific type of food item (Eg, Ice Cream, Pizza, etc). Submit what Chris P is craving to get better rewards.
