The Beanstalk Event Expansion update is live in Grow a Garden, and players can now get brand new pets, seeds, and more. The giant Goliath’s Friendship Shop is also live, where you can straight-up buy a lot of the new items for Sheckles. This is a separate shop from Goliath’s Goods Shop, which went live on August 16, 2025.

Grow a Garden Beanstalk Event Guide: Giant Goliath’s Friendship Shop
As mentioned, the Friendship Shop is the secondary shop you can access from the giant NPC Goliath at the top of the magic beanstalk. You can only access it if you contribute to growing the beanstalk during the hourly Beanstalk Event. The Friendship Shop has a completely different stock. Without further ado, let us see exactly how the shop works.
How To Unlock the Friendship Shop: Cooking Kit Guide
To unlock it, you must increase the friendship level with the giant NPC. You do that by giving it cooked food. If you have some cooked food left over from the Cooking Update, you can submit it immediately. If you do not have any food, you can make more using the Cooking Kit item. You must unlock the Cooking Kit from the Garden Guide. To unlock the Cooking Kit, you have to complete achievements in the Garden Guide.
The easiest way to do this is to complete the Core Plants Common Achievements:
- Shovel 100 Plants
- Harvest 200 Carrots
- Gift 1 Carrot
- Sell 500 Strawberries
- Gift 5 Strawberries
You should get the Cooking Kit as one of the rewards. Upon receiving it, use it to cook some food and give it to the giant NPC Goliath at the top of the beanstalk to increase your friendship level.
