Grow a Garden offers a variety of mutations that significantly increase the value of your crops. It also alters the crop’s design, granting it unique visual features. One of the new mutations added to the game is the Static Mutation. It is an event-exclusive mutation and can be obtained through a specific pet. Let’s learn how you can get the Static Mutation.
What is the Grow a Garden Static Mutation?
The Static Mutation is a crop mutation that enhances the visual appearance of fruits and vegetables by adding crackling yellow electricity particles around them. It provides an 8x multiplier to the sale value of the affected crop, making it a valuable mid-tier mutation for boosting profits.
How to Get the Static Mutation in Grow a Garden
The Static Mutation is event-exclusive and can only be obtained through the Raiju pet, a Mythical-tier pet introduced in the Corruption update. Here’s how to obtain the Raiju Pet:
- The Raiju pet is available in the Tranquil Treasures Zen Shop for 350 Chi. To unlock it with Chi, you must grow the Zen Tree to Stage 7 by giving Tranquil-mutated fruits to the Zen Channeller NPC. Rarer fruits yield more Zen Points to progress the tree faster.
- Alternative Way: You can also directly purchase the Raiju from the Tranquil Treasures Shop with 759 Robux. This involves real-world money, so only go with this method if you are prepared to spend.
What Does the Raiju Do?
The Raiju has a passive ability called the Lightning Beast. This ability causes the Raiju to devour a crop with the Shocked mutation and release a chain lightning effect that applies the Static Mutation to around 4 nearby crops. This ability activates approximately every 10.5 minutes.
There is another twist to its ability. If a Thunderstorm weather event is active, the Raiju’s chain lightning may also apply the Shocked mutation (100x multiplier) alongside or instead of Static. The Static is stackable with the Shocked Mutation.
Tip: Use a Lightning Rod during Thunderstorm weather to increase the chances of Shocked mutations.
