Grow a Garden Zen Event Update sees six new Zen Pets added to the game. Let’s explore each one and what they do.
A brand-new update called the Zen Event Update has been released in Roblox Grow a Garden. The new event sees a host of new gameplay content, including new in-game coins, seeds, and pets.
This article, in particular, will focus on the brand-new pets that have been added to the game. Let’s learn about all the new pets in the game.
All New Grow a Garden Zen Event Pets
The Zen Update for Grow a Garden, released on July 19, 2025, introduced six new pets available through the Zen Egg. These pets are:

| Shiba Inu | Uncommon | 40% | Man’s Best Tomodachi – Every ~1 minute, has a ~15% chance to dig up a random seed. |
| Nihonzaru | Rare | 32% | Bathe Time – As long as a Hot Spring is in your garden, the Nihonzaru bathes in it and boosts all other pets’ passives by a small amount. |
| Tanuki | Legendary | 20% | Mischief – Occasionally causes mischief by performing random actions in your garden. |
| Tanchozuru | Mythical | 4.4% | Balance and Harmony – Occasionally channels tranquility and has a chance to mutate nearby fruits into Tranquil. |
| Kappa | Mythical | 3.5% | Water Spirit – Occasionally sprays water on all nearby fruits, mutating them to Wet, and has a chance to convert existing Wet mutations on fruit to Bloodlit. |
| Kitsune | Prismatic | 0.08% | Nine-Tailed Myth – Every ~22 minutes, goes to another player’s fruit, mutates it with Chakra, steals (duplicates) it, and gives it to the player. Very rare chance to mutate with Foxfire Chakra instead. |
How to Get the Zen Egg
To get the new Zen Pets, you have to obtain Zen Eggs. Here’s how you can get Zen Eggs:
- First, obtain Tranquil fruits. To get Tranquil fruits, wait for the hourly Zen Aura event (10 mins), which applies the Tranquil Mutation to your fruits.
- Once you have obtained the Tranquil fruits, trade them to Monk Unk on Event Island for Chi (higher-tier plants like Starfruit give more Chi than common ones like Apples).
- Use the Chi to buy a Zen Egg from the Zen Shop, located next to the Monk Unk NPC on the Event Island.
You can also complete Monk Unk’s Zen Quests for 1x Zen Egg (skip quests for 89 Robux) or buy a Zen Egg from the Zen Shop for 149 Robux.
