One of the key game mechanics in Grow a Garden is mutations. Mutations emerge as cosmetic effects that apply to crops. These not only change the appearance of the crops but also increase the crop value. Depending on the rarity of the mutation, the crop value gets multiplied. One of the newest mutations in the game is the Meteoric Mutation. Let’s find out how to get it.
Here’s How You Can Get The Grow a Garden Meteoric Mutation
The Meteoric Mutation is a rare mutation introduced in the Working Bees update. It only occurs during the Meteor Strike Event, a rare weather event manually triggered by the game’s developers/admins (not a random occurrence like Rain or Thunderstorms). You must be online on the game’s servers when it happens.
During this event, the sky turns red, and meteors fall, randomly striking crops to apply the Meteoric Mutation. It is not to be confused with the Meteor Shower event (which triggers Celestial mutations and occurs randomly at Night or Blood Moon).
Unfortunately, that’s the only way to get the Meteoric Mutation. There are no in-game items or pets that can trigger it or increase the chances of the event happening.
Tip: The more crops you have in your garden, the higher the chance a meteor will hit one and apply the mutation.
What Does The Meteoric Mutation Do?
Meteoric Mutation is easily one of the most valuable mutations in the game. It increases crop sale value by 125x. For example, an Apple worth 536 Sheckles will become 67,000 Sheckles with this mutation.
As far as the appearance is concerned, crops gain a unique aura, similar to the Pollinated mutation, with a color scheme resembling the Celestial mutation.
Like other mutations, it is stackable. It means that if your crop already has one or more mutations, it is eligible to get the Meteoric Mutation.
