Hunty Zombie got its Release update on August 20, 2025, and has started trending on Roblox as a very popular action RPG. With tens of thousands flocking to the game, we have created a handy guide for all beginners to get a good start. As the name suggests, the game is all about hunting zombies. You can play it with or without your friends in the lobby. The game gives you a variety of weapons to play with. The perk system can drastically change how you play the game, and weapon traits can greatly change how your weapon works.

How To Play Hunty Zombie
Controls
Before we get into the meat of all of the mechanics, let us look at the basic controls for Hunty Zombie:
- Movement: WASD/Analog on Mobile and Console
- Main Weapon Attack: LMB / Button X / Square
- Switch Weapon Left, Right: 1 key, 2 key / DPad Left, DPad Right
- Weapon Ability 1: Z / L2 / LT
- Weapon Ability 2: X / L1 / LB
- Weapon Ability 3: C / R1 / RB
- Dash: Q / Button B / Circle
- Use Perk: E / Button Y / Triangle
- Awakening: G / DPad Down

How To Get Weapons in Hunty Zombie
By default, you will have a Baseball Bat in your one weapon slot. You can unlock another weapon slot for 50K in-game coins. You can switch between weapons at any time during the game. However, unlocking more than two weapon slots requires Robux. There are currently five weapons in Hunty Zombie. You can unlock them by using Normal or Lucky Spins after opening the Weapons tab from the lobby. The five weapons are categorized into tiers. Here is a complete list:

What Are Perks in Hunty Zombie?
Perks are abilities that you can unlock by using Normal or Lucky Perk Spins in the lobby. These are special abilities that you can trigger after filling up a bar by killing zombies. Each perk does something entirely different. Here is a list of all perks and what they do in Hunty Zombie:

| Berserk | Slowly restore your health over time. Stay alive longer during intense zombie fights. |
| Healer | Your attacks set zombies on fire, dealing light damage over time. Careful! Don’t make it too overpowered. |
| Flame | Your attacks set zombies on fire, dealing light damage over time. |
| Critical | Temporary increase your attack power for 60 seconds. |
| Undead | Increase your movement speed and reduce skill cooldown. |
| Vampire | Increases your movement speed and lets you heal slightly with each hit. Zombies will continue losing a bit of health for a short time. |
How To Get Weapon Traits
You can boost your weapons in Hunty Zombie by putting traits on them. If you have the Trait item, you can go up to the Trait Station in the lobby and roll for a trait on the weapon of your choosing. Traits also come in tiers, and drops are based on luck, so you may have to reroll many times to get one that you want.

| Intelligent | 4% | Gain +10% EXP when killing enemies. |
| Fortune | 4% | +20% chance to drop gold when killing zombies. |
| Beast | 2.5% | Increase Damage by 10% and Attack Speed by 2% |
| Prodigy | 1.5% | Increase Damage by 15%, Attack Speed by 6% and Skill Damage by 15%, and slightly boost movement speed. |
Beginners should focus on trying out all weapons and choosing one they like before using the trait system. You will not need high-tier traits until you start increasing the difficulty of the levels, so you can worry about it later.
