The Weather Machine Update is live in the Steal a Freddy Roblox experience. Released on July 12, 2025, it adds a bunch of new features to the game, such as mutations and weather events. Like other Steal a’ games on Roblox, these mutations will drastically change the income generation of your animatronics.

Everything To Know About the Steal a Freddy Weather Machine Update

At its core, Steal a Freddy is all about building up your base with the best units to increase your income generation. You can either steal them from other players’ bases or buy them when they appear on the map. The units are called animatronics in this game, inspired by FNAF. Each of them has a base income production. The Weather Machine Update introduces a new feature called mutations, which adds a multiplier to their production, making them more efficient.

The new update adds hourly weather events to the game. Every hour, one of four weather conditions will trigger, increasing the chance of adding the corresponding mutation to the units on the runway. Here is a list of the weather events and the mutations they impart:

Heat Wave: Adds the Burning Mutation
Thunder Storm: Adds Electric Mutation
Blizzard: Adds Frozen Mutation
Eclipse: Adds the Eclipse Mutation

New Animatronics

The Weather Machine Update also brings two new animatronics to the game, including a Secret. According to the patch notes, the first unit is Vanny. Vanny is a Pizzaria God-tier animatronic in the game. As for the other one, it is a Secret-tier animatronic that has not been mentioned in the update logs.

Index Rewards

The new patch also introduces a feature called index rewards. The game now rewards you with a cash boost if you finish pages in the index. You can also change the look of your base to Gold, Diamond, and Rainbow if you complete the respective index pages.
