RuneScape: Dragonwilds is an open-world co-op survival game developed by Jagex, the same developers who created Old School RuneScape. The gameplay can be compared to Valheim, but with many different and nostalgic aspects. RuneScape: Dragonwilds was recently released into early access, and with it came numerous bugs and glitches that players are complaining about, including performance issues.

Fortunately, Nvidia is launching its RTX 5060 graphics card very soon, and you can get it to tackle some of the problems related to the poor frame rate. This is due to the DLSS 4 feature that is built into the RTX 5060. It utilizes AI-generated frames to provide a higher boost to your frames per second, with considerably low input latency at high graphical settings.

Key Considerations for Performance

  • There aren’t many options to change the graphical settings right now. Additionally, due to very poor optimization, you can get around 80-100 fps on 1080p and around 60 fps on 1440p. Because of this, we don’t recommend playing the game at 1440p unless you have the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB variant.

  • RuneScape Dragonwilds is in its initial stages of early access, which means the game is as incomplete as it can get. As time goes on, the developers will continue to improve various aspects of the game, including performance.
