Before anything else, you first need to reach Level 16 to unlock the cooking pot so you can start making the Fortifying Crunchies. Once you have your cooking pot ready, find the following ingredients to start cooking:

  • Redberries x2
  • Bittercap Mushrooms x2

Redberries grow in bushes and are abundant in areas around Bramblemead Valley. The next ingredient you need to find is the Bittercap Mushrooms. You can find these growing in the Whispering Swamp.

What Does Fortifying Crunchies Do in RuneScape: Dragonwilds?

Consuming Fortifying Crunchies will refill your hunger bar a fair bit. However, you will most likely consume this for its other effects. This consumable grants resistance to poison effects for 300 seconds, or five minutes. You won’t be fully immune to poison damage when consuming this item. However, it’s cheap to craft, making it a good early-game consumable.

If you want a better alternative that can help with poison damage, you can create the Antipoison Potion. However, you will need a Cauldron to make one. The recipe is Harralander, Bittercap Mushroom, and Clay Vessel. It requires a bit more effort to make, but it’s much more effective in protecting you from poison attacks.

Nonetheless, the Fortifying Crunchies are still a good consumable to have, especially in the early stages of the game. Considering enemies like goblins use poison-laced weapons or Garou Druids who cast poisonous projectiles, it’s better to be prepared in every situation.
