Smelting ore to create better equipment and gear has been a staple in RuneScape games. Series veterans would likely be familiar with how the smelting process works in RuneScape Dragonwilds and exactly what ingredients are necessary to create ores, such as Bronze. However, newer players might find the process confusing, and the game doesn’t spell things out either.
So, here is a detailed guide on how you can smelt ore in RuneScape Dragonwilds. You will also find a list of ingredients that you’ll need to collect to make Bronze in this guide.
How Can You Smelt Ore in RuneScape Dragonwilds?
To start the smelting process, you’ll need access to a furnace and an anvil. When you have both ready, you will have to follow the steps mentioned below to craft the ore.
- Step 1: Interact with the furnace.
- Step 2: Place all the ingredients in the input slots of the furnace.
- Step 3: Click on smelt
If you’ve placed all the necessary ingredients, you should end up with that particular ore. For instance, if you’re making bronze, you’ll need to input 1x Copper, 1x Tin, and 1x Charcoal into the furnace.
You can find both tin and copper abundantly at the Fractured Plains location in the game. You’ll need a Bone Pickaxe to mine these materials. Copper stones around the world will appear as a combination of orange and gray. On the other hand, you can mine tin from greenish stones.

How To Get a Furnace
While gathering copper and tin is important when trying to make bronze ore, you also need a furnace. You can make the furnace using Vault Shards. These are special in-game items that you can acquire while clearing out Vaults.
Vaults are special dungeons where you’ll find several Vault Shards lying around. If you don’t yet have the necessary amount of Vault Shards to unlock the furnace, we suggest simply completing more Vaults.
