Deploying and Retracting
To deploy the Cannon of Rage in Sea of Thieves, you need to drop it on a flat surface. The cannon will face the direction you are also looking at. Once it is deployed, you can use it like a normal cannon. Keep in mind that retracting the Cannon of Rage can take time.
The cannon cannot be deployed near capstans, wheels, sail controls, in lower decks, crow’s nests, deep water, certain Tall Tale areas, the Sunken Kingdom, or on rowboats.

Overheating and Explosion
Firing the Cannon of Rage six times in quick succession will cause it to overheat. It will glow and release smoke before exploding. The radius of the explosion is similar to that of a Gunpowder Barrel.
It can absorb up to 200 damage while deployed before exploding. Sources of damage include cutlass slashes, gunfire, cannonballs, fire, and nearby explosions.
How To Cooldown the Cannon of Rage
To prevent it from overheating, you need to let the Cannon of Rage cool down. This can happen passively when not in use. Alternatively, you can throw a bucket of water on it to quicken the cooling process. Furthermore, placing it in the rain or underwater also helps it cool down.

Players can find the Cannon of Rage in emergent Skeleton Forts, Forts of Fortune, and Forts of the Damned vaults. It is also possible to find it in Sea Fort treasuries or scattered on the beaches of islands. It is found in both the High Seas and Safer Seas.
