In Silent Hill F, you will need the White Bird and Fox Plate to solve the My Room puzzle in Chapter 10. It’s basically a wooden block with a white bird painted on one side and a fox painted on the other. This plate is one of the key crests that decide how Hinako’s bedroom door puzzle plays out. Without picking it up, you will be stuck in the Shimizu Residence with no way forward.

How To Get the White Bird and Fox Plate in Silent Hill F
To grab the White Bird and Fox Plate, complete the Ominous Photo Puzzle inside Shimizu Residence I. First, you have to enter Shimizu Residence II and check the rightmost room. You will find Hinako’s Portrait there. Then, return to the first version of the residence. Before you can move further, place a calendar in the wall slot near Hinako’s room. This step opens new sections for you to explore.
Next, look for the photo room in the central part of Shimizu Residence I. It’s hard to miss because the walls are covered with hanging family photographs. Slot Hinako’s Portrait into the empty space, which should leave you staring at five photos on the wall. Here’s where the puzzle kicks in: flip Hinako’s Portrait upside down, but keep the other four facing upright. Done right, the family picture with Hinako’s scribbled-out face will drop to the floor. Behind it sits the White Bird and Fox Plate.
The moment that picture falls, a blind enemy spawns right away. Either deal with it using weapons or keep your distance while snatching up the plate. Don’t leave the residence without taking the item, because once you exit, there’s no chance to come back.

How To Use the White Bird and Fox Plate in Silent Hill F
Now, it’s time to put the White Bird and Fox Plate in the right place. Below is a list that will help you to do that properly.
- Ending 1 (Coming Home to Roost): Use the fox side in the right slot. Pair it with Heavens on top, Sword on the left, and Scales flipped at the bottom.
- Ending 2 (Fox’s Wedding): Put the fox side up top this time. The Scales go left, Black Bird goes right, and the Heavens get flipped at the bottom.
- Ending 3 (The Fox Wets Its Tail): Here, you will use the bird side instead. Place it in the left slot, Sword at the top, Scales to the right, and Heavens flipped at the bottom.
- Ending 4 (Ebisugaoka in Silence): For the true ending, the bird side goes left, the Black Bird goes right, the Scales get flipped at the top, and Heavens sits at the bottom.
