Everything you need to know about Silent Hill F’s PC system requirements, including details on the game’s engine, recommended GPU, and more.

Konami recently released a brand-new trailer for the highly anticipated new entry in the Silent Hill franchise, Silent Hill F. The new trailer comes courtesy of the Silent Hill Transmission digital event, where Konami and developer NeoBards Entertainment revealed a ton of information regarding the upcoming title. Furthermore, following the game’s newly released trailer, the store page for Silent Hill F also went live on all platforms. Although pre-orders for the game are yet to go live, Konami has revealed a ton of additional details on the title, including its setting, characters, and the official PC system requirements. Much like last year’s Silent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill F is built using Unreal Engine 5.
However, the game does feature some differences compared to its predecessor when it comes to PC specifications. Here’s everything you need to know about Silent Hill F’s PC system requirements.
Silent Hill F PC System Requirements

Compared to Silent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill F seems to be a bit more CPU-intensive. In terms of GPU and VRAM requirements, both the Silent Hill titles are identical, which isn’t surprising considering the use of Unreal Engine 5. Furthermore, it seems Silent Hill F also comes with support for both, software and hardware ray-tracing, based on its minimum requirements. Having support for software ray-tracing means the game will be playable on older GPUs, without much hassle. In terms of CPU, the minimum requirement for Silent Hill F is a Ryzen 5 2600 or Core i5-8400 equivalent, which falls roughly in line with the consoles.
However, the recommended specification for the CPU is a Ryzen 5 5500, which is a noticeable step up from the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S’ CPU. That said, here’s a look at the minimum and recommended requirements for Silent Hill F:
Minimum

- OS: Windows 11 x64
- Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600

- Additional Notes: Playing on recommended
With the minimum specifications, the developers are targeting a 720p-30fps experience, at the Lowest graphics preset. Whereas, the recommended specifications target 1080p-60fps at High preset. The recommended specifications can also run at the game at 1440p or 4K, albeit with the help of upscaling.
Silent Hill F File Size

Based on the game’s system specifications, Silent Hill F will require roughly 50 GB of storage on PC and consoles. The storage requirement falls completely in line with Silent Hill 2 Remake, which also came with a 50 GB file size on PC. Unreal Engine 5 games are usually known for their bloated file size. For instance, Black Myth Wukong, another UE5 title, comes with a file size of 130 GB. However, it seems Konami and NeoBards Entertainment have spent a considerable amount of time optimizing the game’s file size in order to bring it down to the 50 GB mark.
