Spider-Man 2 x Marvel Rivals Collaboration: Advanced Suit 2.0 Skin, Release Date and Time

Spider-Man 2 Advanced Suit 2.0 skin will soon arrive in Marvel Rivals! Here are the release details that you need to look out for.

Spider-Man 2 is releasing on PC at last and Marvel Rivals is here to celebrate it! Well, why not? After all, he is one of the most popular heroes in all of Marvel. It took almost a year and a half for Sony to finally port the game to PC and it looks like NetEase won’t miss the opportunity to promote it.

To top it all off, the person behind Peter Parker’s voice in the Insomniac game, Yuri Lowenthal, has also voiced the Duelist Spider-Man in Marvel Rivals. So, it will be like reliving the adventures of the original Peter Parker from the Insomniac game. To be fair, we can consider it a canon event.

Insomniac’s Spider-Man has shown up in both Across the Spider-Verse and Into the Spider-Verse movies, meaning that his journey across the Marvel Multiverse is not new. So, we can say that perhaps he is canonically coming to Marvel Rivals (even though it’s just a skin).

Obtaining the Advanced Suit 2.0 in Marvel Rivals

As you can see, NetEase didn’t tamper a lot with the skin design except the “re-fitting” that they had to do for their own Spider-Man model. If you like the way it looks and want to own it, you can log in on January 30, 9:00 UTC, to get this skin!

The official post on X says that players can unlock this “legendary costume” in the store itself. So, there’s a high possibility that the game won’t give it up for free. After all, cosmetics are the primary way NetEase makes profit in this free-to-play game.

Perhaps the best news about it all is that this skin will be available for all players. Unlike the Spider-Man skin that was exclusive for PS5 players, this one will be available in the store for all platforms. Since the game is being ported for PC, it wouldn’t make sense for the new skin to stay exclusive to just one console.
