In this article, we will discuss how you can successfully evade Piranhas in the Underlands in Split Fiction.
Underlands in Split Fiction is the definition of dangerously beautiful. This level is absolutely stunning when it comes to its visual and structural design. However, do not be deceived by it because many horrors lurk in the shadows and the waters in this section.
Mio and Zoe gain the ability to shapeshift in this particular mission. And while Zoe can swim through the rivers and ponds with her Otter form, Zoe cannot because her fairy or tree avatar won’t be able to survive the Piranha attacks.
So in this article, we will tell you how you can successfully evade the Piranhas in the waters of the Underlands in Split Fiction.
How To Safely Avoid the Piranhas in the Underlands
Once you reach the first Piranha infested area, you will have some platforming to do. You will notice various puzzles and water bodies throughout the Underlands as a recurring pattern. The entire level is designed around the shape-shifting aspect, so every platforming or puzzle you come across will require both Zoe and Mio to utilize their shapeshifting abilities in cohesion.
The Piranha infested waters are a crucial part of the platforming aspect. So how can you move past them? Well, there will be a lot of swimming, flying, wall running, and even grappling involved. Both Zoe and Mio have two different transformations, and you will need both of them in order to successfully evade the piranhas.
Zoe Will Face More Challenges
Mio had it a bit easier in our opinion because when you turn into her Otter or aquatic form, she can safely swim through any water body without being attacked by the Piranhas. However, we also must let you know that you will come across areas and puzzles that will require you to use her Monkey form to climb onto some pink vines.
As for Zoe, this level is arguably a bit more challenging for her. None of her transformations can swim through the water safely, unlike her counterpart. So, Zoe will have to utilize her Fairy and Tree forms as effectively as possible.
For example, in the first Piranha-infested waters you will come across, first Zoe will have to fly across the river to reach a safe patch of land. However, the next platform won’t be close enough for you to repeat the same method. So instead, you will have to turn into her tree form and grapple onto the walls with the spiral symbols to reach the next area.
Throughout the Underlands, you will have to repeat this process and solve many puzzles using all of Zoe’s and Mio’s forms to complete the level.
