The Freedom Colosseum lets Skif live through his brawling journey in The Zone. This is a side quest that only unlocks when you visit the Rostok region on the map. Players tired of fighting against other-worldly mutants can wind down and prove themselves as worthy Stalkers in this arena.

First, you have to visit the bar in the main hangar in the largest friendly settlement of Rostok. The bartender here is named Ganja. You can chat with him and he will mention the arena. Next, enquire about it in the next dialogue choice.

Once he is done explaining, ask for a way to sign up and he will guide you to speak with Arnie. This is when The Freedom Colosseum side quest is activated along with Arena: Round One.

Look to the right of the bar, there is a door here. Enter and head downstairs. You will eventually come across a room that you can enter. Do so and you will find Arnie at the end of the hallway. He will give you further instructions to enter the first round.

Head out of the room and go further downstairs to find Wheezer. He is wearing a ski mask. All you have to do is hand over your weapons and interact with the green locker on the left. It will grant you a Leather Jacket, 1 Bandage, a PTM Pistol, and 40 9x18MM PST Ammo. The bullets will auto-equip.

Enter the door next to the locker and you will enter the arena. The 2v2 gunfight will start. The best strategy is to be aggressive because you will have an ally for backup anyway. It’s not like you haven’t fought against heavy odds till now.

We discovered that headshots can put down both enemies pretty quickly. Once done, interact with Wheezer to return the equipment where you last met him. Exit the room and interact with the blue safe near the staircase. Your equipment will be returned to you right away.

Go upstairs to the next level. Talking to Arnie will give you 675 Coupons. This challenge will finish and you may have to wait for at least an hour in the game for the next one.

The Freedom Colosseum Arena: Round Two

You can chat with Arnie once you have waited long enough to finally receive your second challenge. This time around, you will face mutants. We know. It’s not all that different from The Zone but at least you will get paid this time around. Head downstairs to Wheezer to hand over your gear and loot 40 12x70MM Buckshot ammo, 40 12x76MM Slug ammo, a medkit, two bandages, a Boomstick shotgun, and a Mercenary Suit.

When you enter the arena through the door on the left, there will be a bunch of Blind Dogs. But the game wouldn’t make it that easy for you. There is also a unique mutant creature that looks similar to the dogs here but can create holograms of itself.

The best strategy to clear out the arena is to shoot the unique mutant with glowing eyes first and kill it as soon as possible. Once done, you can easily take care of the rest of the mutants here.

Return the borrowed equipment to Wheezer using the same door as before, pick up your own from the blue safe, head upstairs and take 1620 Coupons from Arnie.

Return to Arnie after waiting for at least an hour and the Colosseum would have been reset. The game allows for a fair challenge this time around by pitting you against a group of enemies.

These are the people who survived other rounds just like you. So, your primary goal is to make sure that this is their last round in the arena. Repeat the same steps by visiting Wheezer downstairs and handing over your gear. Get 10 .308W and 50 .45ACP AP ammo. Three medkits, three bandages, a UDP Compact pistol, an M701 Super Sniper Rifle, and a SEVA-V Suit are also in the green locker beside the door.

Now, enter through the door right next to you to begin the fight. There are five enemies spread across the arena. Take cover if you wish to win the challenge. Take a glimpse in intervals using your sniper to shoot on sight. If any of them are getting closer, switch to your pistol instead and shoot them down.

After defeating each one of them, return to Wheezer to hand over the locker stuff and take your own items from the blue safe outside. Go upstairs to receive 2699 Coupons after talking to Arnie.

The Freedom Colosseum Arena: Round Four

Chimera Stalker 2

The next time that you return to Arnie, he will put you in a fight against a Chimera. This is a bulky and tanky mutant who can absorb lots of damage. So, as quick as the rest of the fights were until now, this fellow may hold you in the arena for longer.

When you head downstairs and hand over your stuff to Wheezer, you can then access the green locker to pick up a PSZ-5D Universal Protection suit and a Dnipro assault rifle. Moreover, you get 240 5.45x39MM PS, 3 medkits, and 5 bandages.

The best strategy is to unload all your bullets into the mutant without thinking much. You can always take the higher ground if you feel overwhelmed and fire from high up for a while. Once you defeat the two-headed monstrosity, return the gear to Wheezer and collect your equipment as you claim 4000 Coupons.

The Freedom Colosseum Arena: Round Five

Facing another Stalker in the game (Source: GSC Game World)

The final round of this colosseum will put you against another Stalker called the Tyrant. He is no ordinary Stalker, but knows his way around The Zone and won’t go down easy. This is going to be your toughest one-on-one gunfight in the game.

Starting the fight in the arena is a bit different this time around. You must talk to Tyrant himself to proceed with this quest. This conversation will determine the equipment you will have while fighting him.

Available Loadouts and Our Recommendation

  • The AKM-74U Loadout: It includes the Berill-5M Armored Suit, AKM-74U, 120 5.45x39MM PS ammo, 2 medkits, and 3 bandages.
  • The Double Loadout: You will get all the same things except the gun will now be replaced with TOZ-34, paired with 30 12x76MM Slug ammo.

The Tyrant is heavily armored and is equipped with an AKM-74U and grenades. He can be pretty annoying to beat, even at normal difficulty. However, we recommend using the AKM loadout. This is because it will have a better range compared to the shotgun in question.

While Toz compensates in damage, you may not want to get too close to your foe. Keep taking cover and keep moving to avoid taking damage.

Once you win, you can claim 6800 Coupons and the Tyrant’s Gun.

This will wrap up The Freedom Colosseum and all of its arena rounds.
