In this detailed guide, we’ll explain how you can start and complete A Missing Mooma quest in Tales of the Shire.

In Tales of the Shire, farming, cooking, and foraging are all intricate parts of the gameplay experience. As you gather ingredients and cook the favorite dishes for the various Bywater residents, you will forge strong bonds with them. As your relationship levels increase with each, you will keep unlocking new rewards or even quests.
Some of these quests are necessary for your progression in the game, while others are side missions you can take on. A Missing Mooma quest in Tales of the Shire unlocks automatically when you reach a certain relationship threshold with one of the NPCs in the village.
How To Start A Missing Mooma Quest in Tales of the Shire

As we said, you can only unlock this quest after you have significantly improved your relationship with one of Bywater’s residents. The NPC in question is Daisy Took, the same person who gives you many riddles to solve. Solving each of those riddles can help boost your friendship levels with her. Besides that, you can always invite her for shared meals and cook her something she likes to bolster the friendship further. You have to reach friendship level 3 with her for A Missing Mooma quest to become available.
Once you reach the necessary level, talk to Daisy. She will inform you that her Oliphaunt Mooma is missing. Apparently, the creature was swept away by a stream of water, and Daisy wants you to look for the Mooma.

Completing A Missing Mooma Quest in Tales of the Shire
After receiving the quest, open your map and look for the quest marker. You need to head north of The Green Dragon location. As you near the bridge, a cutscene will play, and you will spot Daisy’s missing Mooma on an island. However, there is no way to get across to the creature. To find a solution, you will need to go and talk to Willow Took, the local carpenter. By this point, you might have a strong relationship with Willow as well.
Talk to Willow at her workshop, and she will agree to help with the Mooma situation. However, she will ask you to wait until the next day. The next morning, you will find a mail from Willow asking you to visit her workshop for a surprise. When you get to her, you will find that Willow has built a bridge leading to the island where Daisy’s Mooma was stranded. Daisy can now retrieve the creature, and she even names the place Mooma’s Island.
The quest comes to an end with that. You can now travel to the island at any time. Mooma’s Island also becomes another meal-sharing location where you can invite up to three guests at once for meals. If you invite three of the Bywater residents over at once, you will also unlock the Three is Company achievement.
