The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Bokoblin Enemies

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Bosses and Enemies

Tears of the Kingdom Bosses and Enemies will feature some very familiar faces! As a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (2017), Tears of the Kingdom is said to retain many aspects of its predecessor. This will likely include some types of bosses and enemies – though there are certain to be brand new challenges, as well!

Scheduled to release on May 12, 2023, we will be covering the game in-depth! Read on below to follow our guide for defeating enemies once the game has launched.

he Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Ganondorf

Tears of the Kingdom Bosses

Ganondorf

The inclusion of this reoccurring big bad will hardly come as a surprise to anyone who has played a Legend of Zelda game before. Ganondorf (also known as Ganon) has taken many forms throughout the series and it’s currently unknown which of these form (or forms) Link will be facing in Tears of the Kingdom.

We will be adding in strategy information as soon as it become available!

Hydra (?)

This as yet unnamed boss appears in the most recent trailer as a huge, three-headed hydra like beast. Flames are shooting out the tops of its heads (a possible indication they also breathe fire?), and the necks glow with a magma energy.

Spider (?)

Another unnamed boss who has appeared in a trailer is a massive, icy spider. An arachnophobe’s worst nightmare, Gohma have been a reoccurring boss enemy in the Zelda series. Although this particular version has not been officially confirmed, given the size and power of this eight-legged beast there is a high probability this arachnid is at least some kind of cousin.

Molduga

These giant sand monsters ‘swim’ beneath the surface of the Gerudo Desert’s sand dunes. They are sensitive to noise and vibration, and can track Link’s movements has the walks/runs across the sand. In Breath of the Wild, these creatures were more along the line of mini-bosses, dropping a chest with weapons along with fins and guts needed for a side quest.

Tears of the Kingdom Enemies

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Lynel Enemies

Lynels

A quick clip from the most recent Tears of the Kingdom trailer revealed that these mini-boss beasts will be back and likely tougher than before! This new variety seems to have been beefed up with a dark energy, and will surely have new abilities Link will need to counter.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Bokoblin

Bokoblin

These pig-like goblin creatures come in many different shapes and sizes! Larger ones may occasionally serve as smaller mini-bosses, but the vast majority of them will present as a much more common enemy type.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Construct

Constructs

Like the Bokoblin, there will be a variety of different types of constructs Link will cross paths with in his adventures. Most will be smaller types, and present common challenges for our hero. However, there are also likely to be larger and more difficult Constructs to defeat. Given the strange and unique ways these somehow living creatures have formed, any larger mini-bosses will likely each require their own unique strategies to covercome.

Hinox

In the previous game Breath of the Wild the Hinox were large, lumbering cyclops like beasts Link might randomly cross paths with while traveling the length of Hyrule. They are always sleeping when first found, so a high DPS first strike is always recommended if you decide to take on this beast.

Talus

Also found in Breath of the Wild, their image has recently appeared in trailers for Tears of the Kingdom. These are creatures made of rock and stone, and come in both larger and smaller varieties. Bombs and bomb arrows were often the go-to strategy in the first game, so we’ll have to wait and see if these ‘stoners’ have developed any kind of new defense mechanism in Link’s new adventure.
