When playing a fast-paced hack-and-slash game like The Slormancer, any kind of visual and technical errors can easily get you killed. Unfortunately, with the release of Slormancer v1.0, players have reported an annoying problem where the game won’t start in full-screen mode. Additionally, it causes your mouse cursor to reset back to the middle of the screen, preventing you from doing anything at all.

The Slormancer is a great game, but these kinds of technical problems can be aggravating. Here’s a guide to help you fix the full-screen issue in The Slormancer.

As we mentioned before, the full-screen bug causes your screen to start in windowed mode with limited cursor controls. Unfortunately, as of now, there are no permanent fixes to this problem. On the bright side, the developers of Slormancer have addressed this bug and are working on a fix, along with many other problems that usually come with a full release.

As suggested by many community members, there are some things that you can do to lower the chances of the fullscreen bug occurring in Slormancer. It is related to switching off the Discord Overlay, which allows you to access the app’s features while playing a game.

Here’s how you can disable Game Overlay in Discord:

  • Open Discord and click on the gear icon on the bottom left of the screen. The gear icon button opens the User Settings.

  • In User Settings, scroll to the bottom. Click on Game Overlay under the Activity Settings section.

  • Toggle off the Enable Overlay option. You can find it right at the top in Game Overlay.

If this does not help, and the problem still occurs, press Alt+Enter on your keyboard while in-game. Doing so forces Slormancer to go full-screen from whichever screen setting you are on. Finally, you can try changing your resolution in-game, but this method has not been very useful according to many players.
