1. Release Date Revealed
The official launch date for the game is September 23, 2025. That would mean you don’t have to wait too long for the next installment in the series. The close release date may be a surprise to many, especially since the developers revealed the game not too far back in The Game Awards of December 2024. Besides giving away the launch date, the new minute-long trailer also gives a glimpse of the action waiting for players in Borderlands 4. And, like any other games in the franchise, you can expect a ton of new and unique weaponry to explore.

2. Platforms Revealed
The trailer also clarified that the upcoming game is slated to launch on multiple platforms simultaneously. So, you will be able to get it on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC at launch. PC players can choose to purchase it through Steam or the Epic Store. The developers didn’t say whether they are planning an eventual launch on the Nintendo Switch. But, for the time being, owners of the handheld console will miss out on the action-packed game.
3. Full Gameplay Reveal Date Announced
The launch date trailer is just over a minute long, which means you can barely see all of the mechanics in Borderlands 4. This is why the developers have unveiled plans to host a full gameplay reveal during Spring 2025.
