Popular Twitch streamer Shroud said that he “genuinely” might be playing Marvel Rivals for the rest of his life.
Twitch streamer Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek said he might play Marvel Rivals for the rest of his life. The streamer has been playing the hero shooter during his charity subathon throughout January, and he said he really enjoys it.
Shroud often teams up with other streamers like Jodi “QuarterJade,” Timothy “Syncedez” Putrow, and Timothy “iiTzTimmy” An and has been grinding the game’s ranked mode for weeks. His wife, Hannah “bnans” Kennedy, also plays the game and joins her husband’s squad regularly.
The streamer’s love for Marvel Rivals split the community’s opinions. Many internet users felt that he genuinely liked the game. Others pointed out that Shroud made similar comments about Deadlock less than six months ago.
Shroud Wants To Play Marvel Rivals Forever
Despite the Los Angeles wildfires disrupting his streams temporarily, Shroud managed to raise $245,000 for charity in January. He was impressed by the community’s contributions and said on stream:
“I might have to make a new donation goal for St. Jude’s (Hospital). And if we raise a certain amount of money, I make a Marvel Rivals team/org. This game might just be it.”

He said that he would make an esports team for just Marvel Rivals and play it for the rest of his life. Shroud added:
“I might have to do that. I genuinely might be playing this game for the rest of my life.”

The game launched with a tournament mode but the developers did not comment if they have plans for an official esports scene. Shroud competed in a recent Twitch Rivals event for $200,000 but his team fell short in the semi-finals.
