In this guide, we’ll learn more about the ability named Spell Rage in Titan Quest 2, including how to unlock and use it.

Titan Quest 2 has strong ARPG roots, much like its predecessor did. In the latest iteration, you can choose two out of three Masteries at present, although more Masteries might be added at some point in the game’s roadmap. Combining the different Masteries will enable you to play different types of characters.
For instance, you could make your build more melee combat focused. Or, you could go all out and give your character magic-based affinities. If you choose to do the latter, you might want to know about Spell Rage in Titan Quest 2. In the following guide, we’ll explore more about the ability and how you can unlock it.
What Is Spell Rage in Titan Quest 2?

As a spellcaster, when you keep unleashing your magical abilities, you will constantly build up a buff, which is known as Spell Rage. With the buff active, your spell cast speed will increase, and so will the damage caused by those spells. It is similar to the Rage ability, which is available to all character types in the game by default.
However, you won’t be able to take advantage of Spell Rage unless you activate the passive first in your skill tree. Keep in mind that not all of the Masteries in the game have the Spell Rage passive node in their respective skill trees. So, if you want to unlock it, you’ll need to invest your skill points in the tree that does have it.
The Spell Rage ability can stack, and the buff can be highly useful if you solely rely on your magical abilities during combat. After unlocking Spell Rage, you might also get additional perks from it at higher stacks, including extra Cast Speed and Spell Critical Chance.

How To Use Spell Rage in Titan Quest 2
You can stack Spell Rage up to 10 times. Stacking more than this number has some benefits too. It can trigger Overflow and apply additional buffs to your character. Every stack of Spell Rage will increase how fast you can cast spells and how much damage they deal. However, if you stop using spells for too long in between, stacks will start to deteriorate. One thing to remember is that if you have Spell Rage unlocked in different Masteries, they won’t stack individually. However, specific perks tied to Spell Rage from each Mastery will still come into effect.
Spell Rage can also work in conjunction with normal Rage. So, it’s possible to have stacks of Spell Rage improving your spellcasting, while stacks of Rage will boost you melee and range attacks. However, it can be difficult to maintain both for extended durations. So we’d suggest choosing one of them as your primary mode of attack. If you aim to achieve high Spell Rage stacks, we recommend pairing the ability with gear pieces that regenerate your energy. This will enable you to keep casting spells one after the other, and quickly get to the stacking soft cap of 10.
