Maneater is an open-world RPG by Tripwire Interactive. In this game, you play as a shark who is on a mission to take revenge. At the start of the game, a fisherman catches you when you are just a shark pup. After the opening cutscenes, you are thrown into a massive open world with many areas for you to swim around. But before unlocking new areas, you have to get big yourself.
As a feisty shark, you have to chow down on local wildlife, which mostly consists of fish and other aquatic animals. Soon, you can start upgrading different aspects of yourself, which slowly unlock new abilities and power-ups. Soon, you start hunting humans and marine hunters in a very GTA-esque wanted system.

Coming up at the top of this list is Stray, an adventure game by BlueTwelve Studios. In this game, you play as a cat stuck in a futuristic cyberpunk world. What makes this game so unique is how it lets you properly explore the world as a cat. The detailed environment with the fitting atmosphere sometimes makes you just roam around the areas and enjoy the scenery.
