1. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
From the mind of Hideo Kojima, the Metal Gear franchise is one of the most delightfully bizarre gaming experiences of all time. And now, the franchise is returning for the first time since Metal Gear Survive in 2018. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a remake of the 2004 classic, and will release on August 28, 2025.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was the fifth game in the franchise and the first game chronologically. The game features a complex but brilliant plot, an incredible soundtrack and innovative mechanics, along with a touch of the typical Kojima wackiness. As a result, it is widely considered one of the greatest games of all time. If the remake is anything like the original, then it’s going to be something to behold indeed.

2. Mafia: The Old Country
Mafia: The Old Country is the fourth game in the Mafia series and is a prequel to the first game. Although all the games in the franchise have been well received, the first game received near universal acclaim to another extent.
Fans of the series will be happy to know that The Old Country will be returning to the roots of the series. The game, which aims to capture the feeling of the first game, will release on August 8, 2025.

3. Gears of War: Reloaded
The remake of the original Gears of War, which started the massive Gears of War franchise overall, is almost here. The remake comes with many improvements over the game’s older versions to make it the most complete version to date.

4. Lost Soul Aside
Lost Soul Aside, developed by Ultizero Games, is an upcoming action-adventure game that sees you embark on a journey to save your sister (and also humanity) from interdimensional invaders.
The setting of Lost Soul Aside takes inspiration from the Final Fantasy series. Additionally, the combat of the game is similar to game such as Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. Fans of these games should check this game out when it releases on August 29, 2025.

5. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance
Sega’s Shinobi series is finally returning with an all-new 2D action platformer. Long time protagonist of the series, Joe Musashi, who was the main character for most of the games in the series, returns in this game, ready to avenge his village and clan.
The game features fast and diverse gameplay, letting you perform endless combos in any number of ways. Additionally, it has over a dozen unique stages and many excellently designed enemies, all in a beautiful hand-drawn style. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance will release on August 29, 2025.
