The Japanese Oaks is one of the many G1 races you will have to complete as an objective to proceed during your career mode in Umamusume Pretty Derby. This means that you can fail your Career run if you fail to get past this race.

Japanese Oaks Details and Requirements in Umamusume Pretty Derby
This G1 race is not a mandatory one, as you will be given the option to either participate here or in the Japanese Derby. Both races take place in Late May of the Second (Classic) Year. You need only 6,000 fans to enter the race.
Apart from the details mentioned above, the rest of the race conditions are as follows:
- Racetrack: Tokyo
- Direction: Left
- Participants: 18
- Terrain: Turf
- Type: Medium
- Distance: 2400m
- Weather: Sunny
- Season: Spring
Recommended Characters For Japanese Oaks in Umamusume Pretty Derby
Ideally, you will want to use a character proficient in both Turf and Medium races. This won’t be a very hard task, as the Medium category has a high number of proficient runners. Therefore, you should consider using some of the following recommendations:
- Narita Brian
- Mejiro McQueen
- Rice Shower
- Vodka
- Special Week
Best Stats and Skills To Win the Japanese Oaks Race in Umamusume Pretty Derby
You will want to train up Speed and Power as your main stats. However, Stamina is not something you can ignore here, as this is a Medium race. You can get away with a lower Stamina stat if you have acquired a bunch of Recovery skills.
Aside from the stats, you will want to get skills like Tokyo Racecourse and Steadfast (both of which are acquired by Special Week during events naturally). Moreover, skills like Left-Handed and Standard Distance can also be useful here, among others.
Rewards For Winning the Japanese Oaks Race
This is a G1 race, so like other races of this tier, you get the Japanese Oaks Winner’s Garland. Along with this, you are also guaranteed to get Medium Racing Shoes, Monies, and Support Points. You will also gain a significant number of fans if you place highly. The maximum this can reach is 11,000 for first place.
Lastly, you can also get a Goddess Statue and/or five Carats. However, this is not guaranteed every time, and based on luck.
