Vanillite Community Day April 2025 Pokemon GO Guide

Pokemon GO April 2025 Community Day features Vanillite, the Fresh Snow Ice-type Pokemon. The event takes place on Sunday, April 27, running from 2 pm to 5 pm local time.

During the event, Vanillite will spawn in large numbers in the game’s overworld. Pokemon GO trainers will also get to enjoy event bonuses, purchase the Community Day Special Research, get the Community Day featured move, and plenty more.

Vanillite Community Day April 2025: Shiny Vanillite, Event bonuses, and Featured Attack

How To Get Shiny Vanillite in Pokemon GO During Vanillite Community Day April 2025

Shiny Vanillite will enjoy a shiny rate of around 1 in 25 during the Community Day event. You are advised to use Incense to boost the featured Pokemon’s spawn rates in the wild. Apart from wild spawns, Vanillite encounters are also available as rewards from Special Research, Special Background Timed Research, and Field Research during the event, meaning there’s a chance these can be shiny too.

April 2025 Community Day Event Bonuses

The following event bonuses are active for today’s event:

• 3× XP for catching Pokemon.
• 2× Candy for catching Pokemon.
• 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon.
• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
• Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
• Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
• One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two per day. [runs till 10 pm local time]
• Trades will require 50% less Stardust. [runs till 10 pm local time]

Vanillite Community Day Featured Attack

If you evolve Vanillish (Vanillite’s evolution) between 2 pm local time on April 27 and 10 pm local time on May 4, you will end up with a Vanilluxe with Charged Attack Avalanche. The move’s stats are:

• 90 power in Trainer Battles
• 85 power in Gyms and raids

Even with the Charged Attack Avalanche, Vanilluxe isn’t powerful enough in the current Pokemon GO meta for both PvP and PvE, be it in the Great League or the Ultra League. Nevertheless, if you miss out on getting Vanilluxe with Avalanche during the aforementioned timing, you can use an Elite TM or wait till the December Community Day recap event.

Keep in mind the following points as you participate in this month’s Pokemon GO Community Day event:

• Make use of Incense (to boost spawn rate), Lucky Egg (to boost XP earned), and Star Piece (to boost Stardust earned). With the bonuses active, Incense and Lure Modules will last for three hours.
• Make sure you have enough Poke Balls in your bag and space in storage to catch as many Vanillite as you want to get to your hundo/shundo/Special Background Vanillite.
• If you have been waiting to make a trade, the Community Day is the perfect time to do so, with Stardust cost getting halved and an extra special trade.
• Evolve within the stipulated time period to get Vanilluxe with the featured move.
