Twitch streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys appeared on a podcast with YouTubers Colin Rosenblum and Samir Chaudry on February 12, 2025. During the podcast, she discussed Felix “xQc” Lengyel’s $100 million streaming deal with Kick.

Kick launched in 2022, and it quickly became a competitor to Twitch. In June 2023, the platform offered $100 million to xQc for a two-year contract. Pokimane claims that the contract may not have been worth the full amount. She claimed that she heard rumors that the deal involved equity or that it may have been paid out in “different ways.”

Pokimane also said that the Kick deal could have been just a “headline that makes everybody look good.” Her comments went viral, and xQc responded to her, saying:

“I want a guarantee that if I show my payslip or whatever that this bullsh*t, this misinformation stops.”

Pokimane Talks About xQc’s $100 Million Kick Deal

During the Colin and Samir podcast, Pokimane told the co-hosts how the streaming industry works. She brought up exclusive contracts and said at the 1:17:29 mark of the podcast:

“There was a period of time when they (streaming platforms) were giving out exclusive contracts. They said ‘Hey, if you stream only on Twitch or if you stream only on YouTube, we will pay you this amount of money.’”

She then claimed that the deals were valued between $1 million and $20 million. The co-hosts brought up xQc’s $100 million deal. She responded:

“But I have heard different things behind the scenes. We all don’t know if that $100 million is part of like equity? Was it paid in different ways? Was it actually a $100 million? Or was it a headline that makes everyone look good so nobody refutes it? I really cannot confirm or deny.”

Clips with her comments went viral, and xQc’s fans asked him to respond to Pokimane’s claims. xQc’s deal went viral in 2023, and even mainstream media outlets covered the deal. However, neither Kick nor xQc publicly posted any proof of the deal.

xQc Responds to the Allegations About His Kick Deal

After Pokimane’s comments went viral, xQc saw parts of the Colin and Samir podcast. The streamer said:

“The Ninja $40 million is also fake then? Surely, right? Because Ninja was like 40 million or 30? That is probably also fake because he has some equity or some peanuts? Did he have…what else…what else did he have? If 20 million is the bar then everybody is (fake).”

After watching more of the podcast and hearing Pokimane’s thoughts, xQc added:

“Behind the scenes? I am wondering what that is. What does behind the scenes mean? Eddie (Kick CEO) is very under the wraps. He doesn’t talk to anybody. My contract was between me, my agent and Eddie. My agent decided to leak it via some press release or some sh*t. I don’t know what they did but they did it.”

The streamer said that Pokimane is likely talking about rumors and public speculation. He said that he is willing to show his payslips to Pokimane as long as the “misinformation stops.”
