QTCinderella called out DrDisRespect during Streamer Awards 2024 saying “In only 13 years we’ll get a DM from Dr DisRespect.”
QTcinderella has been hosting the Streamer Awards since she founded it in the year 2022. She is a popular live-streamer, influencer, and designer with over 1 million followers on her Twitch channel. She hosts the event and livestreams it on her channel.
On December 7, 2024, the much awaited Streamer Awards was hosted, and QTCinderella made headlines for calling out DrDisRespect. A 25-second-long clip of the streamer has gone viral where she is calling out Herschel, also known as DrDisRespect. QTCinderella mentioned that the Streamer Awards was turning 4 this year and passed a comment referring to the same. She said,
“…To the fourth annual Streamer Awards. Can you believe it? Streamer Awards turns four this year, which means, in only 13 years, we’ll get a DM from Dr DisRespect!”
Here, QTCinderella was referring to a recent controversy faced by popular streamer DrDisRespect. The 42-year-old faced allegations of using Twitch to message a minor, and in June 2024, he posted a tweet admitting to it.
“Were there Twitch Whispers messages with an individual back in 2017? The answer is yes. Were there real intentions behind these messages, the answer is absolutely not. These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more.”
Once Herschel confessed, YouTube subsequently suspended his account, and he will no longer be able to monetize his videos. He was also slammed on social media for his actions. However, he announced that he will be joining Rumble, and this deal includes equity in the streaming platform.
QTCinderella Announced the Streamer of the Year With TinaKitten and xQc
QTCinderella, along with xQc and TinaKitten, announced that Darren “IShowSpeed” is the winner of the Streamer of the Year award. Other creators who were nominated for this award included Kai Cenat, Emiru, Pirate Software, and Caedrel. Moreover, IShowSpeed took the internet by storm by winning the award at The Streamer Awards 2024.
After QTCinderella and xQc handed the award to IShowSpeed, he gave a heartwarming speech thanking his management team, family, and fans. He said,
“It’s a cr*zy one! But look, I want to thank a lot of people. I want to thank my management team. I want to thank my team, my cameraman, my mom, my dad, the countries that allowed me to stream in them. I want to thank everybody. You know? This award means a lot to me. I really fell in love with this game of streaming. Streaming really allowed me to express myself in so many ways and just how who I am. You feel what I’m saying?”
Additionally, before leaving the stage, IShowSpeed performed his iconic backflip.
