World of Warcraft guild OnlyFangs is shutting down after multiple DDoS attacks caused streamers to lose progress.
Twitch streamer Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris announced that he plans to shut down the OnlyFangs guild. The OnlyFangs server faced multiple DDoS (Direct Denial of Service) attacks on March 23, 2025. The DDoS attacks disrupted the game servers, causing streamers to die and lose all progress.
For those unfamiliar with OnlyFangs, it is an invite-only World of Warcraft Hardcore guild exclusively for content creators. Popular content creators like Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp, Jason “Thor” Hall aka Pirate Software, and Felix “xQc” Lengyel have played on the server. The guild has ended all operations but some of its features are still online.
OnlyFangs streamers played World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore, a game mode where a single in-game death leads to a complete progress wipe on a character. Anyone who died in-game due to the DDoS attacks would need to re-acquire all gear which can take hundreds of hours. Sodapoppin acknowledges that there are no guarantees that the attacks will not re-occur and wipe player progress. He told players who weren’t affected by the attacks to leave the guild and join a different one.
Sodapoppin Addresses the OnlyFangs DDoS Attack Controversy
After the DDoS attacks cost OnlyFangs members their progress, Sodapoppin addressed the issue on Discord by saying:
“So clearly the DDoS attacks are centered on us. I’ve reached out for potential rollback, but it’s highly unlikely and I wouldn’t hope for it. So many of us died but we still have people that can play, regardless though I don’t feel comfortable dragging people through getting world buffs, flasks and consumes etc., just to raid with the anxiety and probably the actuality of just being DDoS’d again and dying. So with that, I’d expect ONLYFANGS is over.”
The streamer asked players who still have characters to join a new guild. He added:
“If your character is still alive, you are welcome to join a new guild, or if you guys want to do in-house raiding still, you’re welcome. With a smaller spotlight, the DDoS’s are less likely to happen. It’s a terrible ending imo, but that’s the ending we got.”
Sodapoppin Will Resume Operations if He Can Get DDoS Protection
After saying he was shutting down OnlyFangs, Sodapoppin returned with some good news for members. He said:
“If we get a rollback or I hear of some solid like DDoS protection bullsh*t, ignore this, but yea, it’s probably fkd cause I don’t see that happening. Wanted to give you guys an update as soon as possible where my head is at.”

The streamer thanked everyone for joining the server and playing together for three years. He told everyone on Discord:
“Thank you all for being there at the beginning and especially a big thankyou for the ones who even stuck it out in the end. Until OnlyFangs 3 or other games I see u guys in, GGs everyone. f*ckin GGs.”
The streamer is working on possible solutions but until he can safeguard the players, the guild will pause all operations. All current and future events have been canceled and affected members are waiting for an update from Soda.
