Minecraft content creator Thomas “TommyInnit” Michael Simmons released a YouTube video with serious allegations against fellow content creator Clay “Dream.” In the video, Thomas accused his fellow creator of taking advantage of vulnerable people like a “movie villain.”

Tommy posted the video on January 12, 2025, and it gained over 3.1 million views in less than 48 hours. One of the allegations Tommy made in his video was that Dream did not put effort into his merch and resorted to selling USB drives with his photos on them.

Dream responded with a video addressing all of Tommy’s allegations and denied them. The video, titled “I’m Sorry (but not to TommyInnit),” gained almost 700,000 views in less than five hours and goes over all of Tommy’s allegations and Clay’s responses to them.

Dream Responds to TommyInnit’s Allegations

Dream responded to the allegations of his merch being low quality, saying that he puts effort into it. He claimed that his entire merch brand was built by his family in his hometown. The YouTuber mentioned during the 4:18 mark in his latest video:

“The reason there was ever a USB drive sold with my pictures on it was because it was my mom’s idea. And Tommy knows that. The designers are local people from a local family business.”

He then played a clip of his merch with Tommy’s doodles on it. Dream said that Tommy knew about the merch and how it was produced. He proceeded to call out TommyInnit’s merch and claimed it was created using child labor.

The company Tommy used allegedly scammed multiple content creators and went bankrupt. He showed a clip by Coffeezilla, a YouTuber who exposes fraud by content creators or their sponsors. Dream then claimed Tommy’s allegations about his merch negatively affected sales and that it “struggled.”

The Content Creator Faced Similar Allegations in the Past

This is not the first time that someone criticized Dream’s merch. In 2021, when the YouTuber first launched his merch, many within his audience called it “boring.” He responded to the community sentiment on March 6, 2021, saying:

“I wanted to make the overall merch experience top tier for my fans and be able to do a lot more in the future. That’s what I meant and most people misunderstood it as making out “setting up Shopify” as a complicated manner.”

The YouTuber offered insights on how he created a production line in his hometown to create his own merch and defended his stance. At the end of the X thread, he acknowledged that not everyone would want to spend money on “something so simple.”
