Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is an open-world RPG with a vast array of weapons, armors, tools, and furniture items to collect. However, some of the loot you find during your adventures may not have any apparent uses.
Currency items are one such group, including Sacks of Treasure, Gold, Silver, and Copper. These items can be sold for a healthy sum of Dosh, but do they have any other uses?
How To Use Sacks of Treasure, Gold, Silver, and Copper
The best use of currency items like Sack of Treasure and Sack of Gold is to craft a Pile of Pirate Treasure. This item can only be crafted by the Artist Life after unlocking the recipe for it. You can get the recipe by continuing to play the main story or by buying it from the Material Shop on Tropica Isles.
A Pile of Pirate Treasure sells for around 30,000 Dosh, depending on its quality. Since you can craft it with the Artist Life, using your currency items like Sack of Treasure to make Pirate Treasure can be your main source of income past the mid-game in Fantasy Life i. Here are the costs of currency items compared to a Pile of Pirate Treasure:
- Sack of Treasure: 5,000 Dosh
- Sack of Gold: 3,000 Dosh
- Sack of Silver: 1,000 Dosh
- Pile of Pirate Treasure: ~30,000 Dosh
Therefore, compared to the few thousand Dosh you can earn from selling currency items like Sacks of Gold, using them in a crafting recipe will enhance their value exponentially.
Level-5 is also working on the free “Update the World” DLC. They have so far promised to introduce new crafting recipes with the update. This will likely mean that any mid-to-late-game items that don’t seem to have many uses at this point may be featured in a crafting recipe.
How To Get Sacks of Treasure, Gold, Silver, and Copper in Fantasy Life i
The most sure-fire way to get currency items like Sacks of Treasure is to farm Mimics. You can find Mimics in the Nostruul Cave located in the Drakesnout Range. The Drakesnout Range falls within the Googlizabeth Tower’s region and is situated in the southwestern part of the map. Equip a Combat Life and take some combat-oriented Buddies along for good measure.
Enter the Nostruul Cave and clear all the Mimics you can find. There are a few mimics in nearly every chamber of the cave. You can then exit the cave, pass time, and repeat the process after the Mimics have respawned. In addition to the various sacks of currency, Mimics also drop high-quality weapons and tools. Once you have enough Sacks of Treasure, head back to Base Camp, equip the Artist Life, and start crafting Pile of Pirate Treasure. Sell the treasures to make a ridiculous amount of Dosh.
