More characters are gradually being added to the fan-favorite Street Fighter 6. Discover when Mai Shiranui is being released.
Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 came out in 2023 and is now stronger than ever. Fans around the world loved this edition of the 37-year-old fighting game series, and the game came first in the Best Fighting Game category at The Game Awards 2023.
Initially, the base roster had 18 characters, with both new and returning fighters. Season 1 has seen four new characters added to the game. Four more are promised for Season 2. Among them is Mai, the self-proclaimed strongest Shiranui.

Who Is Mai Shiranui?
Mai Shiranui is originally a Fatal Fury and King of Fighters character. Both of these are fighting games from SNK. She is portrayed as a rival to Capcom’s Chun-Li. Mai usually dons a rather scandalous red and white kunoichi dress, fingerless gloves, and red tabi boots. She holds a butterfly fan. Fans of the game are excited to see what other costumes Street Fighter 6 offers for this sensational character.
Capcom has revealed that she hates spiders but loves ozoni, ohagi, and going out on dates with Andy. Her height is 5’5″ and she weighs 110 lbs.
Apart from going on dates with Andy Bogard, she also adores cooking, Japanese dressmaking, flower arrangement, and traditional Japanese dance.
Mai Shiranui Release Date
You can spend Fighter Coins and avail yourself of the smoking hot red kunoichi. However, players who own the Year 2 Character Pass or the Ultimate Pass will have her automatically on February 5, 2025.
