Looking for the Starmetal Smithy in Avowed? Check out our detailed guide to find its location in the new role-playing game.
You can get your hands on a wide range of crafting resources throughout your time in Avowed. While you can use most of these yourselves to craft better gear for your character, some require the aid of other NPCs.
One of these is known as the Fragment of Starmetal, which you can only use when you visit the Starmetal Smithy in Avowed. In this guide, we’ll discuss where you can find the Smithy and how you can use the Fragment of Starmetal in the game.
Where Can You Find Starmetal Smithy in Avowed?
Your quest to find the Starmetal Smithy will begin as soon as you locate the first Starmetal Fragment. You can find one in Dawnshore, which is the starting area of the game. However, you will not come across the Starmetal Smithy until you reach the very late-game area of Solace Keep in Galawain’s Task. So, unfortunately, there is no way to use the Fragment of Starmetal before this phase of the game.
In the Solace Keep location, you will find Forgemaster Dela. Talk to him to know more about the Starmetal Fragment. At the end of the conversation, you will get a choice to use the special crafting resource to create one of two weapons. You can either craft the Starmetal Arquebus (Moonstrike) or the Starmetal Sword (Meteor Blade).
The weapon you choose to create will depend on your particular play style and preference. Also, if you acquire enough Starmetal Fragments, you can create both of these weapons and more. The Fragments can also help you to upgrade this specialized weaponry that Forgemaster Dela crafts.
Locations for Starmetal Fragments
Before heading off to Starmetal Smithy in Avowed, make sure you collect a few of the Starmetal Fragments. Listed below are some of the locations where this rare resource is available.
- Dawnshore: Visit a location called the Godless Altar, located at the lower end of the eastern side of the map.
- Galawain’s Tusks: You can find a fragment inside a mine pit on the side of the Ash Forest.
- Emerald Stair: East of the Rolling Craigs and the Abandoned Farms, you’ll find a rock with the fragment sitting on top.
There are additional locations where the Starmetal Fragment is available, so be thorough and search every available location. If not fragments, you will come across treasure chests containing a wide variety of valuable loot.
