AXL is the upcoming park boss who is going to join Grounded 2 in the Fall Update. Here’s everything that we know about it.
Grounded 2 is currently in early access, with most of the content to be added in future updates, which includes AXL. As we can see in the game’s roadmap, the fall update is going to introduce a park boss named AXL, much like the Hedge Broodmother or the Mantis from Grounded 1.
Although the developers are yet to share much about AXL, the game does a great job at storytelling through the environment, which also reveals the type of creature AXL is. That said, here’s everything we currently know about AXL in Grounded 2.

AXL’s Enclosure in Grounded 2
The upcoming park boss, named AXL, is going to be some type of Tarantula that has created its nest in the Brookhollow Park. In the game’s opening cutscene, the chaos of the explosion knocks over the tarantula’s enclosure or terrarium. Moreover, AXL escaped the enclosure and created a nest, which also doubles as the fighting arena.
As you can see from the picture above, the knocked-over enclosure is found in the southern Ceremony zone. Additionally, there is also a small sketch of the boss on the underside of the enclosure, which teases what AXL is going to look like. Some players have found glitches that reveal the boss’s design, and it looks like AXL might be a Goliath Tarantula.

AXL Arena in Grounded 2
Behind the hedge in the Pine Hill zone lies a massive hidden area filled with countless webs and wooden spikes. The location looks like a large arena at first glance, which means AXL’s arena might be located in the top left corner of the map when released in the Fall Update.
It is best to stock up on high-tier armor along with some upgraded weapons for this fight. You can also make some smoothies that boost your damage and health during fights, which will also help with defeating AXL in Grounded 2.
